Vision Conditions

Overview

Many vision conditions are quite treatable with acupuncture, microacupuncture, microcurrent stimulation, and/or Chinese herbal medicine. In part this is accomplished by treating the vision system directly and in part, because vision is an aspect of the whole health of the body, this is accomplished by bringing overall health and well-being into balance.

Advanced Micro Acupuncture System
Andy Rosenfarb, ND, LAc. has developed a comprehensive, holistic, twelve-week intensive vision health program. The Advanced Micro Acupuncture system addresses the most critical functional processes vital to optimal ocular function, including all of the treatments discussed below. See more detail on Advanced Micro Acupuncture. Micro Acupuncture™

Micro Acupuncture™ is a procedure involving 48 newly discovered acupuncture points located only in the hands and feet, and not associated with any other acupuncture system. These points were discovered by Andy Freddy Dahlgren, D.Ss., D. Ac., M.Ac .F., M.D. in Denmark in 1984 and researched by Dr. Dahlgren and Dr. Per G. Otte, D. Sc., D. Ac., M.Ac .F. More than 5,000 people have been treated with this procedure throughout Europe, and over 10,000 people have benefited from Micro Acupuncture treatment in the US. 98% of the patients treated have had a marked improvement in their vision. See Treatment Process Information.

Here's a vision treatment video made by one of a small group of clients who all received treatment about the same time in 2008. They had one thing in common - they were losing their sight. Most were suffering from the effects of macular degeneration; one was being treated for glaucoma, and one for general low vision issues.

Micro-Current Stimulation

MicroCurrent Stimulation (MCS) is an enhanced adaptation of a FDA approved therapy used by anesthesiologists, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons and rehabilitative specialists to promote the healing of wounds and transplanted tissues as well as to treat pain. See Detailed Description

Microacupuncture and/or microcurrent stimulation can treat many conditions including, but not limited to:

Macular Degeneration
• Peripheral Retinopathy
Glaucoma
Stargardt's Syndrome
• Retinal Detachment
• Optic Neuritis
• Diabetic Retinopathy

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Unlike western medications, which tend to mask symptoms rather than correct the underlying cause, Chinese herbs are selected to address both acute symptoms and the patient's underlying condition, and are free from unwanted side effects.

Results

Here's what some patients with a variety of vision conditions have reported

Lillian, 80-year old female, Diabetic Retinopathy
"Andy Rosenfarb was so kind to help me with my eyes. My ophthalmologist said that a few years ago I was legally blind. After about 20 treatments I went back to my eye doctor and he said that he was very surprised to see that my eye sight had actually gotten better since be had seen me last. I told him that I was doing the micro acupuncture and he commented that whatever I'm doing, I should keep doing. I am so glad to have be seeing better."

Leslie: 60 year-old female, Ocular branch occlusion, blurry vision

"My follow-up this past Thursday was with the retinal specialist, and my retina was showing some improvement, less swelling, better contour. I am very relieved that the retinal fellow isn't talking about going in with the knife at this point the way he was a few months back. I took this as encouraging news and wanted to share it with you. From my view, the improvement is most strongly correlated to the micro acupuncture, micro-stim and supplementation."

Case: Marissa, 14-year old female, Vision related Migraines / Eye strain

"I really didn't like the idea of acupuncture needles at first, but my headaches were getting really bad. After a few treatments my headaches were gone, Andy said that my eyestrain was giving me headaches. Now it's all gone."
